Fundraising and Volunteers

Whilst keeping the project size and costs to a minimum we are relying heavily on support from businesses, individuals and government departments to make this project a reality.

We have received generous support from
~
The community with over £100,000 raised so far
~ Babbe Advocates Guernsey to pay for promotions and advertising
~ GeoMarine Guernsey who have drilled test boreholes on the site without charge
~ Forbo Flooring who are donating all the floor coverings for the gym, reception and changing rooms
~ Alderney Shipping are helping us with transporting all the building materials from the mainland
~ KB Croxton Electrical have kindly offered to undertake all the electrical work without charge
~ Paul Clark has offered to make warehouse space available without charge to store building materials
~ Island Scaffolding have generously offered to provide and erect all the scaffolding
for the interior of the building without charge
~ Ronez have generously offered to supply the aggregate for the concete works
~ St. Anne's School PTA have kindly offered to refurbish the existing changing room block
~ Alderney Rotarian members are discussing raising funds for a hoist for handicapped swimmers

We still need
~ cash donations. Cheques should be made payable to ACSC and sent to Kerry Wedd, Sunnybank, 1 Reine des Pres, GY9 3XN
~ gym machines - must be professional quality and in good order
~ volunteer labour once the building work starts - hopefully in July 2013
~ volunteers to help staff the facility once we are open
~ a number of specific items such as the pool surround floor covering and landscaping trees and plants
